• Uncertainty about how the return to normality will be after the health alarm forces the Vallès Summer Festival to be suspended this year

The health alarm situation caused by the covid-19 pandemic andthe uncertainty about the deconfinement process in the coming monthscompel cancel the fifth edition of the Fresc Festival, the Sabadell Summer Festival and the Vallès Occidental. The organizers of the initiative have decided to suspend it due to the impossibility of carrying it out with the due conditions, especially due to the more than probable capacity limitations that will mark cultural and leisure activities in the coming months and that the different Administrations have recently begun to explain.

The Fresc Festival 2020 was to be held from June 28 to July 26 at the Jardí de l'Espai Cultura Fundació 1859, Sabadell, with an integrated program, as usual, for outstanding music, theater and word shows. The fact that the Fresco is a festival of small and medium format, given the characteristics of the venue in which it takes place, would make it unfeasible to offer the planned proposals with a reduced capacity even if this were possible.

In view of this circumstance, and despite the fact that the program was closed, the 1859 Caixa Sabadell Foundation, along with Musical Youth of Sabadelland the company UiU Promoters, organizers of the Fresc Festival with BBVA as partner principal, have decided that the fifth edition will be postponed until the summer of 2021. In this regard, the commitment of the organization is to schedule then all those shows planned for this year that are available, in order to compensate, as far as possible, creators who will be harmed by the suspension.

Organizers also want Appreciate the public's understanding, who has been supporting the Festival since day one. “Once the current situation has been overcome - they explain - we are convinced that we will meet again in a fifth edition of the Fresco that will want to contribute to the return to social and cultural normality because we are in a society impossible to understand without Culture and the point of social confluence that it implies”.
